Sewing Classes for Adults (Ages 17+):
Sewing 101 – $135
Join us for this 4 week intro to machine sewing. Classes meet 2 hours a week for 4 weeks. We will start at the very beginning and cover how to use common sewing tools and the basics of working with fabric. Students will work at their own pace to complete a minimum of 3 projects, including a great tote bag. This class is perfect for beginners or students who are still becoming comfortable with machine sewing. Bring your own machine or use ours. All Supplies Included.
Sewing 2 – $100
Intermediate/Advanced Machine Sewing: This 4 week session picks up where Sewing 101 ends. Students will work through projects of their own choice. The instructor will teach skill lessons each week. Topics covered will include button holes, zippers, and bias tape. Students are welcome to repeat this class to continue to expand their sewing knowledge.
Intro to YOUR Machine – $45
Bring your machine for this 2 hour introductory class. We will cover making a bobbin, threading the machine (get your cell phone ready to take a video for future reference!), and basic sewing techniques. You will make and take a simple project.
Intro to Serging – $35
Always wanted to learn how to serge? Never heard of a serger? This class will teach you the basics of using a serger to streamline your projects and create professionally finished seams and edges. You will make and take a simple project. All supplies are included.
Friday Fun Nights – $35 or 2 for $60
Join us for adult only sewing fun! Wine, Chocolate, and Sewing? Buttons and Beer? Classes change each month, so be sure to check our website.
January Fun Night – Friday, Jan 19; $35 or 2/$60. Come make a fleece shawl, Snowflake pillow, or fun Valentine placemats. You bring the wine, we provide the materials.
February Fun Night – Friday, Feb. 23;$35 or 2/$60. Come make a fleece shawl, or fun Spring placemats. You bring the wine, we provide the materials.
Each month we offer multiple project based classes.. These classes usually meet for 1 to 3 sessions and result in a great take home project.
Wool Shawl – All materials included for making this beautiful Italian wool shawl. Limited to 4 participants. Ages 17+; $75. Sunday, January 21; 4:00-6:00pm.
Leggings – Ages 16+; $45. Meets Friday, Feb 2 and 9. 6:30-8:30pm. Bring your fabric and pattern and we will walk you through making a great pair of leggings. Supply list will be provided. Pre-register no later than Jan 28.
Intro to Embroidery – Ages 15+; $55. Meets Sunday, Feb 4 and 11. 4-6pm. Learn the basics of hand embroidery while completing a fun project.
Valentine Felt Fun – Ages 5-11; $40. Tuesday, Feb. 6; 4:30-6:30pm.
All supplies included for this fun Valentine themed hand sewing class.
Embroider Your Jeans – Ages 10-17; $40. Tuesday, February 27; 4:30-6:30pm. Bring a pair of jeans and learn the basics of hand embroidery to decorate them yourself.
Sewing Classes for Children and Teens:
Sewing Club – $100 Ages 6-10; Thursdays, 4-5:30pm.
Hand Sewing classes for ages 6-9, these clubs meet once a week for 4 weeks. We will complete multiple projects that will teach children basic sewing and embroidery stitches. Each class will also include a fun craft project. All supplies are included. **Please note: Sew Fun 1/2 (youth machine sewing) on Saturday from 4-6pm is currently full**
Sew Fun 1! – $140 Ages 9-16;
Machine sewing for ages 9-16. Sew Fun! classes meet 2 hours a week for 4 weeks. Students learn the basics of using a sewing machine. We also learn to use common sewing tools and the basics of working with fabric. Students will complete 2 projects and will begin work on a piece of clothing. This class is perfect for beginners or students who are still becoming comfortable with machine sewing. **Saturday 4-6pm class is full**
Sew Fun 2 – $110 Ages 9-16;
This 4 week class, ages 9-16, continues where Sew Fun 1 ended. This next level class will help students expand their sewing knowledge through project based learning. Students will choose their own projects while instructors will be on hand to assist as well as to provide skill lessons. Students will need to bring their own supplies and patterns. Students may repeat this class as many times as they like and continue to progress through harder material.
