Description:
Join our fun, hands-on two-hour workshop and learn the basics of hemming your pants! This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect if you’re comfortable with a sewing machine and want to dive into garment alterations.
Cost: $75 *minimum of 4 students needed to run the workshop.
What You’ll Learn:
Hemming Basics: Get to know different types of hems and when to use them, like simple and blind hems.
Measuring and Marking: Find out how to measure and mark your pants for a perfect fit.
Preparing Your Pants: Tips on washing and pressing for the best results.
Cutting and Pinning: Practice cutting excess fabric and pinning it in place.
Sewing Techniques: Use your sewing machine to create a neat and strong hem.
Finishing Up: Learn how to press your hem and fix any common problems.
Materials Needed:
1 pair of pants to hem
Provided by The Sewing Room:
Measuring tape
Fabric chalk or marking pen
Scissors or rotary cutter
Pins or fabric clips
Sewing machine (basic knowledge needed)
Thread matching your fabric
